Obituary For Carol Sue Treptow
Carol Sue Treptow was born to Gale and Edna Martz on September 15, 1944. Carol was raised in Ottumwa, and graduated high school in 1963. She had many friends and family in that area that she loved very much. but she new her life would be completed out west. Carol has been with Scott since 1971, and was married to him in 1972. Carol has two children, Carri and Todd. She also has four grandchildren, Erik, Ty, Kaitlin, and Sarah. Carol lived with her Husband and raised the children in Auburn, Washington.
Carol has two sisters, Doris and Dixie, and three brothers, Bill, Gale, and Sam. Carol was loved by her husband, and family. We will miss her every day.
Carol enjoyed frequent talks with her sister Dixie on the phone, until Dixie passed away earlier in 2022. That took a very hard toll on her well being. I’m sure they’re catching up right now. Carol was a crafter for certain, she enjoyed crafts of almost any kind, she loved making cards for Christmas and birthdays, HSN was a special friend. Carol made and decorated cakes for many years and many occasions. she was a collector of buttons and beads and most everything else. Puzzles, painting, and small crafts were her last hobby’s. Carol was a very social person, she knew somebody everywhere we went. She loved doing anything with family, whenever possible. Sara and Kaitlin brought butterflies to be set free last month. It brought a smile and laugh for everyone. Joe and Sharon happened to be here at the same time. That visit and time was a very bright spot in our lives.
Carol passed away on July 10,2023 at the age of 78. She was baptized at the Christian Church in Auburn. We were married in Auburn, we bought our house in Auburn, and raised our family here, but Carol never forgot about, Ottumwa, Iowa.
There is no funeral, per our wishes. I am hoping this will serve as a memorial. Although you see an option to purchase flowers I am not interested in receiving them and ask that you share a favorite memory or photo of Carol for all to remember. Carol will be greatly missed by all.
