Donna Mae Hutton died peacefully on May 3, 2023 at her home in Bonney Lake. She was 94 years old.

She was born October 23, 1928 in Milltown, Wisconsin to Louie & Nellie Martinsen. She was the oldest of seven children. Donna Mae graduated from High School in 1946 and married Clarence Hutton on January 4, 1947.

They moved to Pacific, Washington where they began their lives together and started a family. She was a homemaker and mother. In January 1964, they returned to Wisconsin where they owned and operated the Clover Farm Grocery Store.

During this time, Donna did the accounting for the store as well many other duties that went along with operating a store. In 1972 they returned to Washington with only Judy, the youngest of the five children. There she did the accounting for Clarence’s construction company.

In July 1996, Clarence lost his battle with cancer, five weeks after celebrating their 50th Anniversary.

Donna married Robert Hoyt Sr. in 2003. For seven years they traveled and fished up until Bob’s death in January 2010.

In August of 2015 Donna moved into the Cedar Ridge Retirement Community in Bonney Lake. She made many friends while living there. She enjoyed playing BINGO, Wii Bowling, Beanbag Baseball, Lasso Golf, & going on the Mystery Drives.

She was an active member of VFW and Eagle’s Auxiliaries for much of her life. Donna loved gardening and tending to her beautiful roses. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five children Janice (Carl), Bruce (Pam), Larry (Kathryn), Joanne and Judy (Ron), 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 7 great, great grandchildren, along with 9 step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren & step great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Carolyn and Linda both of Wisconsin.

Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 brothers Robert & James, 2 sisters Mary Ellen & Norma, son-in-law Duane, step granddaughter Debbie, & step great, great grandson Emmett.

A service and reception for Donna will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church in Auburn, WA on Wednesday May 24th at 1pm.
