Harry Eugene Young of Kirkland, Washington passed away on November 30, 2024.

Harry was born in Bearden, Arkansas on February 11,1937 to the late Sim and Maude Young. Harry was one of eleven children and family was everything to him.

Harry is survived by his wife Grace of 58 years. Three daughters, Teresa Nearing of Puyallup, Washington, Beverly Carriaga of Kona, Hawaii and Toni Kathan of Federal Way, Washington. He is survived by one brother, Ray Young of Mead, Washington. He is survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Harry graduated from Camden High School. After high school graduation, his family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. Harry started college in Shreveport and later relocated to Los Angeles, California where he continued his education at USC, Monterey, Cabrillo College and California State University. He received his AS and BS degrees in Computer Science, Management and Engineering. Harry received his Master’s degree from George Washington University. Harry also taught Information Technology at the College Level.

Harry was a speaker at various organizations and college student groups. He received many awards for his services. He encouraged education and learning to his employees and students. Harry was always ready to help others and gave what he could to those in need.

Harry served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Harry was a Specialist 4th Class SP4.

Donations to the American Heart Association are preferred in place of flowers.
