Obituary For Miguel Jurpik

With our deepest sorrow, we regret to announce the passing of Miguel Jurpik. In his sleep on the afternoon of November 1, 2023. He will finally be reunited with his beautiful wife Maria, daughter Sara and grandson Kody. Born outside of Kiev, Ukraine on August 25th 1932. His parents and grandparents migrated to Paraguay, fearing war. At the age of 18 he moved to Argentina to work as a Tailor. He met the love of his life Maria Sapoznik at a Baptist event and they were married in December 14 1957. They were married until she lost her battle with ALS in 2014. Miguel and Maria moved to Seattle, WA in 1964 to provide a better life for their growing family; Sara, Ana, Daniel and David. They purchased a hobby farm in 1972, where they raised their children and grandchildren. They both peacefully spent their last moments at home. Miguel worked most of his life as a Master tailor until his retirement for Nordstrom. He loved his politics and religion. He was proud of his land, animals and gardens. He will be sorely missed but we are blessed to have had him until the age of 91. Miguel was a devoted Father to his four children. He is met by Sara Jurpik who tragically passed at the age of 19. He is survived by 3 loving children Ana Jurpik, Daniel Jurpik and David Jurpik (wife Shannon). The best Gedo (grandfather) to Katina (husband Ryan), Maria (husband Reinhard), Theodore, Joshua, Tyler, Konrad (wife Chelsea), and Kody. He was a great grandfather to Mason (6yr), Elias (6yr) & Viana (3yr), Leander (11mo). The family would like to remember him as a strong man of faith and patriarch of his family. He was full of love, humor and selfless generosity. The loving Miguel was so very proud of his family and home. A very hard working provider. We were so honored to have been raised by him. He was a loving brother, uncle, & friend to all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in peace. He will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn, Washington on November 14th beside his wife and daughter.
