I didn't have the opportunity to know Leroy. I knew him only second hand from the wonderful things my son and granddaughter shared with me in the years he was part of their life. He had an enormous impact on their lives and showed them through his way of living and the love he had for Lillian, how precious loved ones are. His generous heart and willingness to share his life experiences showed them through his example what it really means to be a friend. I know both my son and granddaughter feel they were family and I am certain Leroy felt the same. I wish I had been able to meet him at least one time, but I do believe I know him and am very grateful for how wonderful he was to my loved ones.
