Obituary For Sharon K Trueblood
Sharon K. Trueblood, 73, passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side from complications of PAH and COPD on May 24th, 2020 in Kent, WA. Sharon was born on June 14th, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and lived there most of her young life. She traveled to Anchorage, Alaska in 1977 with her husband and three young daughters and loved it so much that they sold their home in Minnesota along with most of their belongings, packed up their car and motorhome, and moved to Anchorage.
In 1987, she moved to Washington state, where she has remained ever since. She tried living in a warmer climate (Phoenix, AZ) for a year in 1992, but Washington called her back. Sharon worked for the City of Seattle and absolutely loved the work she did, and made several long-lasting friendships along the way. Her and her husband Rod loved to tour the nation in their RV, and often spent time at their favorite place on the Oregon coast or on the lake in Lincoln, WA.
Daughter of Fred & Ruth Sturmer, and preceded in death by her husband Rodney Trueblood, brother Douglas Sturmer, and sister Susan Sturmer. Sharon is survived by her brother Jerry Sturmer (Colorado Springs, CO); 3 daughters; Tiffany Call (Jeremiah) (Big Lake, AK), Wendy Davis (Eugene) (DuPont, WA) and Carrie Hamilton (Chris) (Kent, WA); 9 grandchildren, Brent (Kaylene), Casey, Riley, Sheyanna (Chris), Christopher Jr., Cierra, Kylen, and 2 great granddaughters; Olivia and Chloe. Sharon also has numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon was an amazing woman and a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to so many. She had a heart of gold, the most selfless nature, and would do anything for anyone who needed her. She gave so much to so many people throughout her journey. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on June 13th at 11am at Price-Helton funeral home: 702 Auburn Way N., Auburn,WA 98002, followed by drinks and light snacks. We will also be offering a zoom meeting for those who are unable to attend in person (details following).
Burial will be held with family privately at Tahoma National Cemetery on June 15th, 2020 at 10:30am due to Covid group limitations. A zoom meeting will be set up for those who would like to be present virtually at the burial (details following).
