Obituary For Susan Kathleen Carrier
Obituary Our mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend went home to be with her Lord and savior on October 9th, 2018 and was greeted by all of our family and friends. Susan (or Kathy as many of her family affectionately called her) was born on April 30th, 1950 in Sunnyside, WA. She grew up in the Yakima Valley with her three sisters (or more commonly known as the Porter Girls) and graduated from Grandview HS in 1968. She married her high school boyfriend William ""Bill"" Carrier in 1970 and had their first son Kevin in 1975 and in 1988 she gave birth to her second son Kyle. She spent her formative years with family, going fishing and heading out to Bickleton to have Sunday dinners or hanging out with her cousins (the Brooks', Porter's, Whitmore's, Allen's and Dixon's) She was raised by her grandparents after her parents passed away and later by her sisters until she was 18. Susan spent almost three decades in the medical field working as a HUC, nursing aide, medical secretary and 17 years as a pharmacy technician before retiring in 2007. She is preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Willie Jean, her grandparents; John and Iva (Dixon) Porter, Henry and Bessie Mae (Keck) Cantrell and numerous aunts, uncles, her cousin John Brooks and her brother-in-law Jimmy Blodgett and 1 fur-granddog; Andy (Papa Rooney). She is survived by her two sons; Kevin (Shawna) Carrier of Yakima, WA and Kyle of Auburn, WA. She is also survived by her three sisters Dianna (Dick) Benitz of LaPine, OR, Barbara Fennell of Prosser, WA, Rebecca Blodgett of Independence, OR. She is also survived by two aunts, Gwendolyn (Aunt Bee) of Grandview, WA and Peggy Cantrell of Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her 4 fur-grand-dogs; Lucy, Harley, Dodger and Kallie.
